(More here Another film includes NYC at Easter and St. Patrick's Cathedral. The final film is probably from the January 11, 1945 episode of Command Performance and features Jimmy Durante, Alan Jenkins, William Gargan, Hugh Herbert, Ed Brophy, Sterling Holloway, Hugh Herbert, Andy Devine, Alan Hale, Arthur Treacher, and Robert Benchley all singing "Down By The Old Mill Stream."

  • The Army-Navy Screen Magazine 55 1945: the entire newsreel.

The Army-Navy Screen Magazine was produced by the U.S. Army Signal Corps Pictorial Service, under the supervision of Col. Frank Capra, who came up with the idea. It was released twice a month and shown to military troops as a 20-minute newsreel.

"By the end of the war, the Army-Navy Screen Magazine reached an enormous weekly audience of 4.2 million. It had become for American soldiers all over the world a communal experience that greatly influenced their perception of the war."

It featured short documentary films, news from back home, and short training films like Dr. Seuss' Private Snafu cartoons.   I've uploaded the entire Screen Magazine and also each segment as a separate file (some editions are comprised of 1 long film, though).

Description at the National Archives:"Reel 1: on the 101st Airborne Div. at Bastogne. Troops move out of a recreation area and Belgian civilians are evacuated. Supplies are air-dropped and gliders land. Shows combat in the snow; German dead and prisoners; and Gen. McAuliffe. Reel 2 shows the main street of Lexington and the campus of the University of Kentucky. The "G.I. Jive" music program is broadcast. Shows New York City at the Easter Season and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Jimmy Durante, Andy Devine, and Robert Benchley joke and sing."
